Sheridan City is out of control. The citizens are corrupt, the saloon is an immoral indulgence, and gunmen and greedy opportunists come and go as they please. With the town's lawman (Henry Hull) incapable of maintaining order, the town council brings in a hired gun, Clint Tollinger (Robert Mitchum), who has business of his own with the saloon madame (Jan Sterling). Tollinger sets about proving his reputation as a "town tamer" through his signature approach: eradicating violence with violence.

Aging rancher George Washington McLintock (John Wayne), a wealthy self-made man, is forced to deal with numerous personal and professional problems. Seemingly everyone wants a piece of his enormous farmstead, including high-ranking government men, McLintock's own sons and nearby Native Americans. As McLintock tries to juggle his various adversaries, his wife, who left him two years previously, suddenly returns. But she isn't interested in her husband - she wants custody of their daughter.

Masked super-scientist Commando Cody investigates the dangerous climate changes ravaging Earth, and discovers the disasters are being caused by space-alien forces led by a mysterious ruler.

In this classic Western, wanderers Gil Carter (Henry Fonda) and Art Croft (Henry Morgan) ride into a small Nevada town plagued by cattle thieves. Initially suspected of being the rustlers themselves, Carter and Croft eventually join a posse out to get the criminals, who also may be involved in a recent shooting. When the posse closes in on a group that could be the fugitives, they must decide on a course of action, with numerous lives hanging in the balance.

Forrester and Van Buren, however, are able to wound one of the creatures and procure a sample of its blood. They take it to Los Angeles where they hope, through testing, to be able to discover the aliens' weakness.
